Atacamatitan chilensis
Taxonomy
Atacamatitan chilensis was named by Kellner et al. (2011). Its type specimen is SGO-PV-961, a set of postcrania (right femur, the proximal end of a humerus, two dorsal vertebrae, posterior caudal vertebrae, dorsal ribs and a fragmentary element regarded as part of the ster), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Conchi Viejo, Atacama, which is in a Cretaceous terrestrial conglomerate/sandstone in the Tolar Formation of Chile. It is the type species of Atacamatitan.
