Taxonomy
Paralucinella was named by Chavan (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Lucinella (Paralucinella) by Glibert and de Heinzelin (1954).

It was assigned to Lucinella by Glibert and de Heinzelin (1954); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Divaricellinae by Cox et al. (1969), Vokes (1980) and Marquet et al. (2008).
