Phthitogomphus angulatus
Taxonomy
Paragomphus angulatus was named by Handlirsch (1939). It is an impression. Its type locality is Grassel, Braunschweig, which is in a Toarcian offshore mudstone in the Posidonia Shale Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Phthitogomphus, Paragomphus.
It was recombined as Phthitogomphus angulatus by Cowley (1942) and Nel et al. (1993).
