Taxonomy
Blysmatophyllum multigemme was named by Zhen (1994). It is not extant. Its type locality is Boundary Creek Area, Blysmatophyllum-Iowaphyllum association, which is in a Givetian reef, buildup or bioherm wackestone in the Burdekin Formation of Australia.
