Taxonomy
Dyscritella restis was named by Crockford (1943). Its type specimen is Sydney Univ 2448 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Allandale railway cutting, which is in a Sakmarian coastal siliciclastic in the Allandale Formation of Australia.
