Taxonomy
Polypora multiporifera was named by Crockford (1944). Its type specimen is AM F38441 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Minilya River, Syncline 0.5 mi west of Coolkilya Pool, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Wandagee Formation of Australia.
