Taxonomy
Hexagonella bifida was named by Crockford (1944). Its type specimen is UWA 22132 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hill C, Grant Range, which is in an Artinskian/Kungurian marine limestone in the Noonkanbah Formation of Australia.
