Taxonomy
Mesoraphidia hilli was named by Jepson et al. (2011). Its type specimen is BMB 016381, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Rudgwick Brickworks, Upper Weald Clay, which is in a Barremian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
