Wasatchites tardus
Taxonomy
Anawasatchites tardus was named by McLearn (1945). Its type specimen is GSC 9470 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Toad Fm - GSC 10657, Toad River, which is in a Smithian marine horizon in the Toad Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Anawasatchites.
It was recombined as Wasatchites tardus by Tozer (1961), Bychkov et al. (1976), Dagis and Ermakova (1990) and Dagis et al. (1996).
