It was reranked as Chama (Pseudochama) by Mansfield (1940) and Willett (1946).

It was assigned to Chama by Mansfield (1940) and Willett (1946); to Chamidae by Vokes (1980), Moore (1988) and Freneix et al. (1988); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
