Taxonomy
Dinarites altus was named by Mojsisovics (1886).

It was recombined as Olenikites altus by Diener (1915); it was synonymized subjectively with Olenikites spiniplicatus by Kummel (1969); it was recombined as Subolenekites altus by Zakharov (1978), Dagis and Ermakova (1988) and Dagis et al. (1996).
