Taxonomy
Sarepta modesta was named by Kurushin (1985). Its type specimen is IGiG 753/730 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, outcrop 2, layer 22, eastern Taimyr, which is in an Aegean marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
