Taxonomy
Lithostrotion (Diphyphyllum) connorsensis was named by Easton (1960). Its type specimen is USC 5120 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USC Loc. 332 - Connors Pass, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Arcturus Formation of Nevada.
It was recombined as Diphyphyllum connorsensis by Wilson and Langenheim (1962), Wilson (1991) and Wilson (1994); it was recombined as Tschussovskenia connorsensis by Fedorowski et al. (2007).
