Taxonomy
Rhabdomeson bispinosa was named by Crockford (1944). Its type specimen is GSWA F2/2405 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gascoyne River District (GSWA collection), which is in a Sakmarian coastal horizon in the Callytharra Formation of Australia.

It was corrected as Rhabdomeson bispinosum by Xia (1986) and Ernst et al. (2006).
