Taxonomy
Sanguinolites kamiyassensis was named by Nakazawa and Newell (1968). It is a mold. Its type locality is Shigejizawa, Kami-yasse, Kesennuma City, which is in a Wordian marine sandstone in the Kanokura Formation of Japan.
