Taxonomy
Streptorhynchus lenticularis was named by Waagen (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Katta, basal Middle Productus-limestone (bed 12), Salt Range, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
It was corrected as Streptorhynchus lenticulare by Fantini Sestini (1965).
