Taxonomy
Ammonites hebertinus was named by Reynes (1868).

It was recombined as Phylloceras hebertinus by Meister and Friebe (2003); it was recombined as Phylloceras hebertinum by Meister (1989), Alkaya and Meister (1995), Blau (1998), Géczy and Meister (1998), Hillebrandt (2006), Geczy and Meister (2007) and Meister et al. (2011).
