Taxonomy
Lytvophyllum mongeri was named by Stevens and Rycerski (1989). Its type specimen is GSC 85274 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 28942 (SE-19c-56), Mess Lake, Stikine, which is in an Asselian shallow subtidal limestone in Canada.
