Taxonomy
Triaphorus was named by Marwick (1953) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi Tr Carn-u Sepkoski's reference number: 94,159]. It is not extant. Its type is Pleurophorus zealandicus.

It was assigned to Permophoridae by Hayami (1975); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Kalenteridae by Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
