Taxonomy
Syntomospina kaiyangensis was named by Feng (1985). Its type specimen is F19-76Ao and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mazhai, Kaiyang, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Longtan Formation of China.
