  • Ictides was named by Cuvier and Geoffroy (1824) [also credited to Valenciennes 1824, but this is wrong: see Pocock 1933 p. 1015]. It is extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Arctictis by Pocock (1933).

    It was assigned to Viverrina by Gray (1825).
