Gondwanodus irwinensis
Taxonomy
Gondwanodus irwinensis was named by Daymond (1999). Its type specimen is WAM 98.7.1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Cliff, 8.5-9.5 m, Irwin River, which is in a Sakmarian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Holmwood Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Gondwanodus.
