Taxonomy
Favosites fusiforme was named by Flügel (1972). Its type specimen is UGP 2768 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kal-e-Sadar 63JE02, which is in a Kungurian marine carbonate in the Bagh-e Vang Formation of Iran.

It was recombined as Pseudofavosites fusiforme by Niko et al. (2018).
