Taxonomy
Calophyllum micron was named by Flügel (1973). Its type specimen is MMH 11927 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Stosch T67-83, River 2, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wegener Halvo Formation of Greenland.
