Taxonomy
Arctophyllum permicum was named by Flügel (1993). Its type specimen is SMF 40890 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kara-Dag Massif, Nif, SW Anatolia, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in Turkey.
