Taxonomy
Glyphioceras gracile was named by Gemmellaro (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rocca di San Benedetto, calcare compatto, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy.

It was recombined as Epiglyphioceras gracile by Leonova (2002).
