It was assigned to Pteriomorphia by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Heteroconchia by Ward (1992); to Bivalvia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Heterodonta by Vokes (1980), Coan et al. (2000), Stilwell et al. (2004), Bieler and Mikkelsen (2006) and Rosenberg et al. (2006).
