Taxonomy
Macrochilina modesta was named by Girty (1908). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2967 green, El Capitan, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Cutoff Formation of Texas.
