Taxonomy
Terrestrisuchus gracilis was named by Crush (1984). Its type specimen is NHMUK R7557, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pant-y-ffynnon Quarry, Bonvilston, which is in a Rhaetian fissure fill limestone/marl in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Terrestrisuchus.
