Taxonomy
Phillipsia oehlerti was named by Gemmellaro (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rupe del Passo di Burgio, calcare compatto, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Pseudophillipsia oehlerti by Greco (1935) and Lemke (2020).
