Taxonomy
Stellahexaformis burovi was named by Gorjunova and Sedaeva (2008). Its type specimen is PIN 198/1253-1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pechishchi Quarry, Pechishchi Bed D, Kazan, Tatarstan, which is in a Roadian shallow subtidal limestone in the Pechishchi Formation of the Russian Federation.
