Taxonomy
Polypora gregalis was named by Gorjunova (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2351/435 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kukhifrush Mountain, southwest Darvaz, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Sebisurkhskaya Formation of Tajikistan.
