Taxonomy
Calamophyllia indica was named by Duncan (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maliri, Sind, Pakistan, which is in a Bartonian reef, buildup or bioherm horizon in Pakistan.

It was recombined as Rhabdophyllia indica by Gerth (1923).
