Taxonomy
Polysolenia digitata was named by Gerth (1925). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Idanogawo-Sagaeaju, Nias, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene perireef or subreef limestone in the Nias Formation of Indonesia.
It was recombined as Astreopora digitata by Leloux and Renema (2007).
