Taxonomy
Arctomeekoceras popovi was named by Guex et al. (2005) [Formerly JHS-1674c-43]. Its type specimen is NMMNH P-62981 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JJ1-78, Hot Springs Ridge (JJ-HSC), Bear Lake, which is in a Spathian slope limestone in the Thaynes Formation of Idaho.
