Bajarunia pilata

Taxonomy

Meekoceras pilatum was named by Hyatt and Smith (1905). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Paris Canyon, Columbites beds, Bear Lake Valley, which is in a Spathian marine limestone in the Thaynes Formation of Idaho.

It was recombined as Nordophiceras pilatum by Kummel (1969); it was recombined as Bajarunia pilata by Guex et al. (2010), Jenks et al. (2013), Brayard et al. (2019).

Meekoceras curticostatum was named by Smith (1932).

It was synonymized subjectively with Nordophiceras pilatum by Kummel (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Bajarunia pilata by Guex et al. (2010).
Meekoceras micromphalus was named by Smith (1932).

It was synonymized subjectively with Nordophiceras pilatum by Kummel (1969).
