Taxonomy
Apringia barnabasi was named by Vörös (2009). Its type specimen is Hungarian Natural History Museum M 2007.121.1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bakony Mts., Kericser (Lókút), section VI Bed No. 26, which is in an Ibex carbonate limestone in the Hierlatz Formation of Hungary.
