It was recombined as Squamularia (Neophricodothyris) pulcherrima by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Permophricodothyris pulcherrima by Kotlyar et al. (1999); it was recombined as Neophricadothyris pulcherrima by Grunt and Novikova (2002); it was recombined as Squamularia pulcherrima by Clapham (2015).
