Taxonomy
Paracaninia suobeishanensis was named by Guo (1980). Its type specimen is Ru3074 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Suobeishan, Bailinzuoqi, which is in a Roadian/Wordian marine horizon in the Dashizhai Formation of China.
