Taxonomy
Szechuanophyllum jilinense was named by Guo (1980). Its type specimen is Ru2048 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yumuqiaozi, Daheshen Fm, Huadian County, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Daheshen Formation of China.
