Taxonomy
Conularia rectangularis was named by Hayasaka (1920). It is a cast. Its type locality is Imo, IGPS It044, Yahagi, Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Kanokura Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Aviculopinna rectangularis by Hayami and Kase (1977); it was recombined as Neoconularia rectangularis by Hayasaka (1963) and Weldon and Shi (2003).
