Taxonomy
Solenomorpha elegantissima was named by Hayasaka (1925). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kinshozan, Kuro zone, Akasaka, Gifu Prefecture, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.

It was recombined as Alula elegantissima by Hayami and Kase (1977).
