Cryptovenator hirschbergeri
Taxonomy
Cryptovenator hirschbergeri was named by Fröbisch et al. (2011). Its type specimen is LFN−PW 2008/5599−LS, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Remigiusberg Quarry, which is in a Gzhelian/Asselian lacustrine sandstone in the Remigiusberg Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Cryptovenator.
