Taxonomy
Lophocarinophyllum inaequale was named by Il'ina (1987). Its type specimen is PIN 2873/564 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Senkina Shapka Mountain, Upper Chandalaz, Partizanskaya River, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Chandalaz Formation of the Russian Federation.
