Taxonomy
Waagenophyllum (Huayunophyllum) guangxiense was named by Xu (1977). Its type specimen is IV 38592 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liangsan, Luocheng County, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Heshan Formation of China.
