Taxonomy
Pseudocarniaphyllum convexum was named by Wu (1962). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Desheng Ay35, Xinhui, Yishan County, which is in a Kasimovian/Gzhelian carbonate limestone in the Maping Formation of China.

It was recombined as Pavastehphyllum (Pseudocarniaphyllum) convexum by Minato and Kato (1965).
