Taxonomy
Orbiculoidea linguliformis was named by Kalashnikov (1981). Its type specimen is 271/9 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mezhdusharsky Island, Section 9, Sample 1221, Novaya Zemlya, which is in a Roadian marine sandstone in the Shadrovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
