Taxonomy
Paraphillipsia levigata was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shimoyama, Sakawa City, Kochi Prefecture, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Shimoyama Formation of Japan.
