Taxonomy
Neogriffithides imbricatus was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mount Ryozen, Shiga Prefecture, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in Japan.
It was recombined as Pseudophillipsia imbricatus by Owens (1983).
