Taxonomy
Pseudophillipsia intermedia was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Neo, Gifu Prefecture, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Tokuyama Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Pseudophillipsia (Carniphillipsia) intermedia by Kobayashi and Hamada (1984).
